Electrical Engineer
Salary: $130,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year

Job Description
We have an immediate need for an Electrical Engineer. You will work in a collaborative team of HW, Mechanical, and Optical Engineers to develop LIDAR for consumer, avionics, and space applications.​
​
Primary Responsibilities
-
Develop new systems and improve legacy products.
-
Design and build test setups
-
Manage Electrical Technicians
-
Manage PCB fabricators and board assemblers.
-
Manage all ECOs and other documentation changes related to all electrical designs.
Preferred Skills and Experience
-
5+ years of experience with PCB design software such as OrCAD schematic capture and Allegro PCB layout or equivalent software
-
Experience and knowledge of Spice simulation, Analog, and RF simulation tools
-
Experience with multi-layer board designs, specifically RF and FR4 board material stack-ups
-
Experience with high-frequency RF circuits and power supply circuits
-
Experience with Avionics and/or Space hardware
-
Good understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes
-
Good communication skills with the ability to interface and clearly communicate with many different technical disciplines
-
Experience with the DO standards is desired.

VHDL programming and Signal processing experience desired

FPGA Engineer

Job Description
Responsibilities
-
Firmware design for aviation and space systems
-
Implementing, verifying, documenting and testing firmware in VHDL for aviation and space systems
-
Create and maintain simulation test bench modules to ensure a high degree of code coverage and verify functionality of firmware modules
-
Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and contribute towards FPGA design methodologies and best practices
-
Work in close collaboration with Hardware and Software engineers throughout the integration process to ensure that firmware is implemented as intended

Qualifications

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering
-
7+ years of experience in Digital/FPGA/CPLD Design & Testing
-
Extensive understanding of FPGA design methodologies, including physical synthesis, static timing analysis, and formal verification
-
FPGA simulation tools (ModelSim, VCS)
-
FPGA Synthesis tools (Microsemi Libero, Intel Quartus, Xilinx Vivado)
-
Verilog and VHDL coding proficiency
-
Experience writing simulation testbenches and design verification
-
Able to work independently and within a team environment. This position is 100% on-site. No remote work

Must be a highly productive, self-motivated person able to contribute as an individual and work within a distributed team

Must possess excellent communication skills, verbal and written

Experience working with DO-254 Standard Compliance Documentation (desired)
